Great place to eat and the staff was fantastic. We were in NC helping with relief for people, and our airb&b owner recommended it. The hash browns were the best part. Loved it!! Thank you

A really solid diner! Do not judge by location --- it shares a property with what appears to be a condemned motel. The diner was clean and comfortable. Staff was VERY helpful and welcoming. Food was excellent! Biscuits and gravy were on point. The hash was really good. The potatoes were perfect. Over easy eggs cooked perfectly. High octane coffee rounded out the meal. Reasonably priced. Lots of easy and free parking.

You'll never find another time portal quite like this. The place looks like it hasn't changed in decades, and even the prices reflect a time long gone. The food is terrific Appalachian homecooked goodness. Seat yourself wherever you like, and a nice lady will serve you in a moment. They make their own sausage in-house. They even have Livermush on the menu, and it's sliced correctly. The buttery, flaky, perfect biscuits will stick-to-your-ribs and keep you coming back until the plate is clean. Eggs are done right in any style you want. In a world where time is running like a wild animal, they don't rush you out; you can take your time. There's just enough light that comes through the window shades. Even after Helene, when service doesn't feel quite the same, you can still get a meal served with a side of respect, southern charm, and a smile. Don't pass this place up. It's not closed and not abandoned; it's full of life and good people enjoying good food in a place from a time long since forgotten.

Our kind of place! We went for breakfast. Only 1 table for 2 people available, which was fine. We knew it was going to be good when we saw the crowd. If we lived nearby, we'd eat here several times a week. It looks like a dump from the outside, but looks can and are deceiving many times!

One of my favorite truly local spots. Do not judge this place by outward appearance. This is a clear example of why you should never judge a book by its cover. The food is incredibly good, fresh and reasonably priced. There are breakfast & lunch specials daily. The eggs & meat are locally sourced & the breakfast sausage is hand made & easily the best I have ever had. Breakfast is the clear specialty, but lunch is also very good. Locals know this place well and there are many daily regulars, for very good reason.
